Toad in the Hole

Easy to make, and delicious to eat:
Toad in the Hole is a classic British Dish whose prime ingredients are just sausages cooked in Yorkshire Pudding batter… a perfect pairing!! Served best with mash (or even sweet potato mash) and veg, with a liberal pouring of gravy!

Method

Add a drizzle of olive oil to the base of each of the roasters

Place two sausages into each roaster and place in the oven for 15-20mins at 200C

Meanwhile, in a bowl add the flour, along with a pinch of salt and the eggs

And whisk together, slowly adding milk throughout

Once all the milk is mixed in, add the sage and whisk

With the roasters removed from the oven, pour the mixture evenly over each

Place the roaster back into the oven at 200C for a further 15-20mins, until the batter has risen and become golden

Remove from the oven and enjoy!
